What Is Critical Metrics?


Loosely based around Hypemachine comes Critical Metrics. It keeps track of recommendations from the most popular blogs and music related websites then generates playlists by linking to MP3’s posted online.

Due to it’s ability to list popular tracks by genre, website, time period or source it provides a powerful way to predict which music is most popular at any given moment amongst reviewers and music sites. This extends its appeal to radio DJ’s, label A&R, management and serious music fans.

To get music on to this site is a true test of popularity and requires music to be posted to the most well known music related blogs and for it be positively reviewed and liked. This makes it far more difficult for PR companies to hype and leads to a very diverse and eclectic playlist.
