Million Media

See Things Differently

Is Bebo Better Than MySpaceFor Music?

Seven Reasons Why:

  1. Cleaner lines & easier to read and navigate
  2. Option to become a groupie – use this skin & send it on
  3. Band members on Bebo are listed separately to friends
  4. Option to click on and listen to all album tracks, see U2’s bebo page here
  5. Bebo “Band’s” player allows you to listen to many more full length tracks than myspace player. It also opens in a separate window so doesn’t stop when you go off that page. See example here
  6. Bebo’s deal with online store 7digital allows users to download songs with a single click. This allows bands to upload and sell 4 tracks with the band keeping 70% of the revenue
  7. They can upgrade to a “pro” service which would enable them to sell 20 tracks and keep 80% of the revenue

Some Bebo tips & stats:

  • Over 50% of Bebo’s users come from the UK & Ireland, with it being the No 1 most visited site in Ireland*
  • The percentage of global internet users who visit Bebo has risen by 63% in the past three months*
  • In order to register your band on Bebo, you need to first register normally then register as a band

Hi, I work at bebo and I’m glad you like our Bands product!

I wanted to say that another cool thing about putting your band on bebo is that whenever you add new tracks, tour dates, photos, or blogs, these updates automatically get posted to all your groupies’ Home pages. So if you post two tracks up, within minutes, your fans will be listening to them right from their home page.

Anyways, again, glad you like it, just though I’d share what I think is really cool about Bebo Bands. Feel free to post comments/mail to my bebo page with feedback and I’ll do my best to evolve the product.
