See Things Differently

Facebook vs MySpace

I was aware that Facebook had been rising in popularity lately and was going to do a comparison with MySpace when I saw this – Facebook vs MySpace on Mashable. Which saved me all the effort.

It’s clear MySpace is beginning to lose ground on the new social networks, despite the huge number of people who still visit the site. Which, after all, is probably the only justification for sticking with the Fox Behemoth. However, it’s also apparent that the MySpace FRIENDS model, i.e. getting as many as possible, is beginning to be replaced by a ‘quality not quantity’ philosophy – something we highly welcome.
