HOW DO YOU DO A HASHTAG ON A MAC?

All you need to do is press the ‘alt’ and ‘3’ keys together and as if by magic you have your #.

Why don’t Apple simply add a Hashkey?

Why don’t they just put it on the keyboard though!?

    Thanks.

I asked the guys in the Derby (UK) Apple shop why there is no hash key – they said because it no longer a frequently used key so it’s considered to be superfluous – same applies to the old fashioned delete key and the dedicated apersand key!

The guys in Derby obviously don’t use Twitter much 🙂

        Q. Can you think of a sentence with six ‘ands’ in a row that still makes complete sense?

Thank you you’ve saved me so much time. Before this I would google hashtag then copy and paste so for twitter this was time consuming. Thanks again1

#Cheers mate! I used to copy the hashtag from google just like someone said and then paste it on twitter. 🙂 Funny isn’t it? I’ve also tried it with the other numbers and discovered other symbols i wasn’t aware of. Thanks

I still don’t understand why mac wouldn’t indicate these characters on the keyboard. Same goes with the Print Screen function. This sucks. Really.
