Reasons why the industry is screwed #67

So, we’re trying to figure this one out. We were doing a Google adwords campaign, encouraging fans of a certain artist to visit HMV to buy a bundle download. And the band were paying for it. But then we get word that HMV objected to their name being featured in the advert due to a ‘policy’. So, let me understand – your business model is fucked, CD sales have gone down nearly 50% in 5 years, and when a band use their own money to promote sales in your shop, you would rather stick with a ‘policy’ preventing this from happening. Odd?
