Bonnaroo Offer Fans A Green Ticket Opt-In

Bonnaroo, an annual US festival, are proud of their green initiatives. They make huge effort to recycle, offset their carbon emission, promote car sharing, use horses on-site instead of tractors and have composting facilities. One other innovative feature is inviting their audience to voluntarily contribute towards funding these green initiatives when buying their ticket. In what they call their Greening Initiative fans can elect to pay either $1, $5, $10, $50 or $100.

If anyone from Bonnaroo would like to tell us how many people pay and the average amount we’d love to know and add more detail in this feature.

Do you know how other events are promoting green issues? Please comment.
