See Things Differently
For four year’s I’ve been excited about the build-up to the World Cup in South Africa. The sense of hope, the qualifiers, the team gossip and the injuries. So surely, the organisers don’t lack exciting news. But apparently, they do. Some might call it scraping the promotional barrel, but these two guys must surely have hoped for more than this when they signed up to work at World Cup HQ.
In the press launch they revealed the ticket would be ‘brightly coloured’. But it didn’t stop there – ushering in a new innovation for tickets they also informed us that World Cup tickets ‘will contain information about each match’s location, kick-off time, and participating teams, as well as entrance and seat numbers’. In a further pushing of technology’s bleeding-edge the tickets will also contain a barcode and a hologram of the logo.
Maybe next they will reveal the ball design – ‘well, it’s round, contains air and can be kicked for long periods of time without sustaining damage’.
