EventScotland Launch Site To Measure Event Impact

Scotland’s national events agency, EventScotland, has launched a free resource for the events industry to make cultural and sporting events more environmentally and socially sustainable”, reports Event Magazine

They have kindly launched EventIMPACT which allows any event owner to evaluate the economic, social, environmental and media-related impacts associated with their event. It provides very useful online calculators and provides methodologies based upon a review of previous case studies.

With increasing scrutiny of large events by councils and the public, this extremely useful site enables Event Managers to anticipate any potential problem areas before they arise.

This is a great idea. Here at http://www.prettyclever.co.uk we’re really trying to get together greener ideas for events. Lately we’re including more webinars and video conferencing options, including our own wifi ‘bolt-ons’ which we can offer our delegates as a Pretty Clever service – therefore reducing all types of travel. It’s greener, and cheaper too
