New Band Spotlight – 12 Dirty Bullets

Rocklands are a huge part of The Artist Network and are behind a series of amazing events called ‘Playhard‘, (in collaboration with Bandwagon), focused on finding and showcasing great new bands. We asked Rockland’s Caffy to highlight three awesome new bands and she very kindly gave us these tips. First up is:

12 Dirty Bullets

Anticipation is an understatement for the new releases and live dates for this London rock band with one of the most fervent followings growing on and off line. The debut album ‘Downsides To Making A Living’ is a word of mouth fan winner, worldwide. Genuinely pouring themselves into writing, creating, recording, producing and releasing their own music gives them the edge of intensive spark that connects with, and ignites audiences.

In 2011, the band stepped up and proved their admirers were on the right track. They spent the year touring, while also completing the second album, due for release later this year. With a mixture of album tracks and new songs, they attracted national press in Europe and by their second USA tour in autumn, made the national radio industry chart with ‘Motown’, a taste of the second LP. “These guys are so good, so English; it somehow feels like a disservice to simply dub them the next Arctic Monkeys. The group followed up their astounding debut LP with a single, “Motown,” we’ve been jamming since the day it hit, “(PureVolume Top 20 Bands of 2011).

12 Dirty Bullets returned to the UK in winter to play a string of packed out gigs with sing-a-long crowds that culminated in a home town headline at Koko in London. The UK music blogs were united in their acclaim for this tour and excitement for their potential. It also picked up new industry and national press interest for what they do next. As 2012 gears up, the new album is the sound of a band coming to deserved recognition through the might of their song writing and experiences.
