Anita Maj is a pro-active, independent, force of positivity. She is currently completing her debut album, ‘Truth Or Dare’, due for summer release on the self made Lil Minx Records.

Produced by Dan Swift (Kasabian, Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol) it is already sounding like a hits collection and is due for release in summer.

Songs like debut single ‘Out Of Control’ and RockBand computer game track, ‘Undercover’ are examples of her flair for hooky anthems which have earned trips to America, radio support on both sides of the Atlantic and highly encouraging feedback already.

Second single, ‘Playtime’, started 2012 with new praise; “An ear for a great power-pop hook and distinctive vocals that put her somewhere between Janelle Monae and Marina Diamandis. It also helps that the chorus is ridiculously infectious!” (All Noise).

Anita has been developing her songwriting talents since her early teens, inspired by icons like Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, PJ Harvey, Debbie Harry, as well as modern influcences including Kings of Leon, The Killers, Muse and 30 Seconds to Mars.

Likened to The Bangles, Suzi Quatro and Pink, she regularly gigs at key London’s venues and various festivals that support new music. She has also supported Art Brut, The View and Steve Cradock at home.

In USA she ’s not only collaborated with Kanye West associate, Malik Yusuf but also played Arlene’s Grocery at CMJ, The Viper Room, Whiskey a Gogo, New Orleans’s House of Blues and SXSW.

Now starting to attract a diverse spread of media (reflecting her crossover potential) and with a collection of songs that sounds like a major release in the wings, Anita is ready to be discovered at home.
